The Pickwyck chatted with the extremely talented and powerhouse performer, Tony Award nominee Orfeh, about her previous work on Broadway, an embarrassing moment on stage involving a bulldog with a very nervous stomach, and what she has in store for the future in this new interview!
We read that you went to a performing arts high school! Can you tell us a little bit about your experience there and how it helped you become the performer that you are today?
We at The Pickwyck are huge fans of your work! (After seeing Legally Blonde: The Musical, one of us might have tried the "bend and snap" and ended up almost hurting herself...Whoops!) What production are you most proud of having been a part of, professionally and/or personally?
What has been one character you have portrayed that you felt the most connection to and why?
How do you prepare yourself for a role?
Have you ever had any embarrassing moments while on stage?
Aside from performing in a theatrical setting, you are also credited as a songwriter and have your own solo music out! Do you prefer doing your solo work over working in theater? What are some challenges you face/have faced when balancing your acting and singing career(s)?
If you could write your own musical, what would it be about and why?
What are you most passionate about in life, aside from your career?
If you were stranded on a deserted island and you could only bring three things with you, what would they be and why?
If you could give one piece of advice to young, aspiring performers, what would it be?
And, lastly, do you have any upcoming projects in the works that you would like to plug?
